Wet-Nose 5K Run & Dog Walk

Shoes and paws will hit the pavement to raise money and awareness for rescue animals in the 5th Annual Sam’s Town Wet-Nose 5K Run & Dog Walk. Runners will enjoy a course that winds through the streets of Cordova with the start/finish lines at Bert Ferguson Park & Community Center, beginning at 8:15 am.

Not a runner? Come out with your dog and enjoy a stroll around the walking trail with your favorite companion in a one-mile dog walk at 9:00 am.

Not a dog owner? No problem. You can still come out for all the fun and enjoy the one-mile walk in the company of the many dogs who will be sharing the trail with you that morning.

Join Mike and Mandy of WRVR for music, food and beverages, awards, a silent auction, dog adoptions, a Rescue Reunion, and a Best Dressed Dog Contest (only $3, register now or at race packet pickup). Runners, walkers and dogs will receive race packets and are eligible for door prizes. Proceeds benefit Guardian Angel Pet Rescue (www.guardianangelpetrescue.com ), a local, non-profit organization dedicated to saving abused and neglected cats and dogs.
